Dave Berrette - VP Health Safety & Environment

As the VP of HSE at WQS Group of Companies, David establishes, achieves and maintains a high benchmark of health, safety and environmental performance both internally and for our external stakeholders. David has over 15 years of experience in elevating company culture with program and policy development, legislative adherence and setting industry best practices.He has implemented his experience and passion for risk mitigation through behavioural based safety, inspections and auditing, emergency preparedness, incident response and effective claims management. He takes an educational and consultative approach to his work, knowing that safety incidents are preventable with training, mentorship, and the continuous improvement of a positive company culture.

Behind the scenes, David mentors team strength in other departments to remove systemic inefficiencies and increase morale and job satisfaction.

Kris Cotter

Kris is a mission-oriented, strategic leader with experience managing finance and operations in high-growth organizations and her leadership is characterized by her strategic vision, commitment to excellence, and ability to foster collaborative environments. She brings nearly 30 years of senior and executive finance experience in both publicly traded and privately owned organizations spanning a diverse background of industries across North America including real estate, private investment, specialized industrial services, and industrial construction. Her background includes extensive work in strategic financial planning, financial management and reporting, policy and procedure development, and ERP systems development and implementations.

Kris completed her CPA (CMA) designation in 2002, and in addition to her professional achievements she is dedicated to advancing the accounting profession. She has volunteered extensively for the profession, first as an Evaluator in the Strategic Leadership Program for CMA Alberta, then with the CPA Western School of Business as an Evaluator for the Professional program, and more recently as a member of the Edmonton CPA Community Ambassadors.

Paul Merchant

Paul is a demonstrated leader with over 16 years experience in Industrial Rope Access Maintenance as well as being a certified IRATA Level III for 13 years. He brings with him vast professional experience in Business Development & Project Management. Well-versed in IRATA Compliance and Rope Access Regulations coupled with excellent working knowledge of behavioural safety within the workplace.

Paul has a demonstrated history of creating procedures, equipment management, selection, and inspection. Dedicated to integrity and respect within the workplace. Advocate for employees, our company and professional development.

Jessie Foster

Jesse Foster - OPERATIONS MANAGER, ADVANCED NDT

With over 11 years of experience in NDT, Jessie exhibits an indisputable efficiency and dedication within the industry. His extensive industry knowledge, integrity and compassionate personality make him an indispensable member to our team.

Jessie strives to maintain a culture of quality and respect amongst his peers and has built a reputation of providing service with a smile. He welcomes new challenges and adversity in his work and does so with a positive attitude. Jessie is routinely looking for the most innovative and cost-effective solutions for inspection services, regardless of the complexity of the job, and consistently searches for ways to improve and advance in the NDT field.
